"Rampage" is a 2018 action-adventure film directed by Brad Peyton and based on the classic arcade game of the same name. The movie stars Dwayne Johnson as primatologist Davis Okoye, who has a strong bond with an albino gorilla named George. When a genetic experiment goes wrong causing George to grow to an enormous size and become extremely aggressive, Davis sets out to stop him and save the city from destruction.
Along the way, Davis teams up with genetic engineer Dr. Kate Caldwell (Naomie Harris) and government agent Harvey Russell (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) to try and reverse the effects of the experiment and find a cure for George. They discover that the company responsible for the experiment, Energyne, is behind the mutations of several other animals and is intent on using them to achieve world domination.
As George rampages through Chicago, causing destruction and chaos, Davis and his allies must race against time to stop Energyne and save the city before it's too late. The film features non-stop action, as George, a wolf, and a crocodile engage in intense battles, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
Despite facing criticism for its stereotypical characters and predictable plot, "Rampage" was a box office success and received positive reviews for its special effects and Johnson's charismatic performance.
